Itshuts off turbo boost and runs 50 constant. Turbo ratio is only good when you want to. Run different cores @ different ratio Example. Core 1 = 45 Core 2 =44 Core 3=44 Core 4=44. So if I single load comes cpu is @ 4.5 If u get more then 1 core loaded it's 4.4gzh. They also said leaving ratio to auto say 4.2 default.
Best Add a Comment. because the turbo boost is always enabled unless you disable through throttlestop or make max processor state 99% in your power plan in windows, if you have the default settings on throttlestop its always on, if you don't have throttlestop installed and have never installed it before turbo is on, turbo is what increases
Beforetouching pl1 and pl2 you can undervolt and limit the max frequancy boost for each number of active core. My undervolt let me consume 20w less under benchmark. My 11800h at stock do 4.2ghz all core load, 4.4 at 6 core load, 4.5 at 5 core load to max 4.6ghz single core load. You can reduce the frequency for each type of core load to recude
SoI guess the answer would be yes, it will affect how long it may last because the laptop will definitely run much hotter on turbo mode because the cpu is being pushed to the max which will cause it to heat up a ton. mavericknathan1 • 2 yr. ago. 1 I have an Intel i7 4710-mq in my laptop. Due to thermal issues, I have set the maximum processor state to 99% so as to avoid Intel Turbo Boost kicking in. However, this does not appear to be working. After several minutes of gaming, the laptop hits the tj max and shuts down.

TheA10-5800k was on an ASUS board, granted completely different manufacturer of the chipset, but some games i force the power saving of with windows power modes but for the most part my 247 oc turbos upto 4.5ghz and sits at 800mhz when idle. benching off.
